Created as part of my MFA thesis, RandStudio is an interactive educational project that illustrates basic design principles by playfully deconstructing the work of the influential designer Paul Rand. Through 10 different exercises, users manipulate the forms in one of Rand’s posters to explore different visual and spatial arrangements. Educational text and animated commentary appear in the panel on the right. Using RandStudio as a generative tool, I created a postcard announcing my thesis show with over 100 variations on Rand’s poster.
